Saturday Shopping: New Balance for J.Crew

I'M SO EXCITED! As I mentioned in my post about Tory Sport couple of weeks ago, I pretty much live in athletic clothes after work and on the weekends when I'm chasing around the boys. (Let's face it, chasing around two boys two and under IS my workout!) Comfort and function are always my number one priorities, but I also want to look nice.  I have been saying for SO LONG that I wish J.Crew would expand their athletic clothes selection and mimic what Tory Burch did with Tory Sport, and IT'S HERE! J.Crew paired with New Balance and the results could not be cuter. Here are my purchases and a few of my favorite items:

Tory Burch is one of my favorite brands of all time. I pretty much live in my Reva ballet flats during the work week. I love her purses, wallets, dresses, and overall prints. There is a definite nod to the 70s in her designs and it is quirky, fun, and chic. In 2015 she came out with her Tory Sport line and I am obsessed! I seriously think it was designed for me. I love wearing leggings and casual/sporty clothes when I'm not working, and this brand allows me to feel comfortable and cute. It may be on the expensive side, but you can't beat the quality. I tend to be one of those people that find something I love and wear it over and over again, so this works for me.

When I was in NYC last weekend I jumped at the chance to visit the Flagship Tory Sport store on Fifth Avenue. The interior design of the store was awesome! It was decorated perfectly. I was in heaven ;) Here are some pics from my shopping experience:

Does anyone else like Tory Burch as much as I do? Here were some of my favorite items from the store:

When it comes to what I wear, function and comfort are at the top of my list.  Let's be real, I am usually chasing two kids around the backyard, up and down the stairs, and around in circles. However, I still need my "mom uniform" to be cute and to make me feel pretty! I can't throw ALL of my style out the window just because I am a busy, active mama (and still trying to lose those last few stubborn pounds of baby weight, to boot!)

I'm sure a lot of you reading this are in the same boat, hence I decided to start sharing some of my favorite fashion finds here and there. While I have dozens of fashion blogs that I follow,  I am not spending $300 on amazing chiffon blouses from Nordstrom and Bloomingdales every week, but hey - how many of us can actually do that in that real world? I am actually more inspired by moms finding ways to make their everyday wardrobes a balance between affordable, functional, and cute. However, I am having trouble finding this out in the blog/instagram world, so thought I'd just start sharing my favorite finds every once in awhile.

That being said, let's get started! This summer I have pretty much lived in this style of easy, pull-on short shorts! They are SO COMFORTABLE and so easy to wear with a basic v-neck t-shirt.  Elastic waistband? Sounds ridiculous when you say it out loud, but YES PLEASE! And seriously, aren't they cute?

So I probably have not shopped at Abercrombie & Fitch since I was in high school.. (Let's not do the math!), but I recently stumbled upon several articles about how they are reconfiguring the brand and trying to bring it back to life. They are apparently actually going to dress their models (shocker!) and try to cater to a more mature, slightly older audience.  It definitely caught my attention and I am surprisingly pleased with some of the cute items I found on their website!

Check them out below!

What do you think? Pretty cute right? Would you actually shop there? I have a cart full of items all 30% off today using the code 15583... Still debating!
