Design Details: Pea Gravel Gardens

Lately I've been thinking/dreaming a lot my "Forever Home" and the design details I imagine adorning this house! One of the things I find myself drawn to time and time again are pea gravel gardens. They are so simple and understated, yet so incredibly beautiful.  The natural look and feel to these areas help them blend seamlessly into the landscape. Pair them with some boxwood and white hydrangeas, and I'm pretty much in heaven!

Plus, I imagine it won't be too difficult to install or maintain! Always a positive in my book!

Here are some of my favorites:

Do you have any homes that you occasionally decide to go out of your way to walk drive or drive by because they are just so pretty? THIS is that house for me! It is situated on the most beautiful street in Cleveland (in my opinion) and just has so much charm. I love the stone, the grout, the covered porches, the shutters flanking the door, the lush landscaping. Ah, it makes me swoon!

I'd love to see and feature some of your favorite homes! E-mail me a picture at fathydrangea@gmail.com! or tag a pic for me on Instagram! I will feature your submission on an upcoming post!

Navy Shutters

SO, the navy didn't quite work out in the dining room, but I still had plans for it in other places of my house - including our shutters! They used to be a lighter, cornflower blue. Pretty, but not 100% me. I love the navy! Again, we went with Benjamin Moore's Polo Blue. Best color navy in my humble opinion ;)
